Charlotte Douglas International Airport for 2019 was the 11th-busiest airport in the United States in terms of passenger traffic, having processed over 50 million passengers,and fifth-busiest in terms of aircraft operations, ranking sixth globally.
It is also a hub for American Airlines, which operates the majority of the airport’s flights. The airport has four runways and one passenger terminal with 115 gates (the most of any airport terminal in the U.S.) across five concourses
