SATS In-flight Catering Centre, Singapore

In 1999, Pteris Global has completed installation works for the new Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) In-flight Catering Centre (SICC1) facility. The two projects, namely the Material Handling System (MHS) and Process Control & Monitoring System (PCMS) with Store Management & Control System (SMCS) were awarded by SATS Catering Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines.

KEY FEATURES OF PROJECT

• Handling Capacity: Up to 45,000 meals daily
• Project Completion Date: December 1999
• Fully automated In-flight catering system
• Comprises of Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) for High Bay Warehouse, Cold Room , GN Tray, Pallet Handling System and Bin Handling System
• Process Control & Monitoring System (PCMS) and Store Management & Control System (SMCS) integrated into the system to perform operations such as warehouse management, goods ordering, tracking & delivery
• Interface with the HOST system in SIA and other sub-systems in the catering centre
